Spain won the World Cup and Paul, the octopus got it right again!

Created a few hours before the final match, this illustration shows my faith in Paul’s predictions, making it the focus of a piece about the global reach of the world cup fever. Had the Neatherlands won the match, Paul would have still been newsworthy and a good metaphor for the article, but accurately predicting all of Germany’s results plus the final match, made this common octopus living in a Sea Life Center in Oberhausen a star.

Needless to say, I loved the Famous Five, the Secret Seven, and anything else by Enid Blyton but I particularly liked the O’Sulivan Twins - As Gémeas, in portuguese.

Banoffee Shots

Ever since my sister-in-law asked me to search the web and find a good recipe for Banoffee Pie - and make the said pie - that I’ve been in love with the banana-tofee sauce combination. It’s the perfect topping to a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, it’s an amazing crepe filling, it’s even great on its own, sprinkled with some cereal for crunchiness. Continue reading…
