This is my submission to the challenge the wonderful Iain McCaig presented us with during his 1001 Nightmares talk at THU 2015. We were asked to re-invent ICONS—specifically ICONS of TERROR, the Things that go Bump in the Night.
The challenge was “to create your own Nightmare and submit the scariest and the most memorable redesign of ONE character from the following list of ICONS (NOTE: half of these are icons of good, half are icons of evil—whichever you choose, your job is to make them TERRIFYING!):
ANGEL or DEMON
BEAUTY or BEAST
SUPERMAN or BATMAN
SANTA CLAUS or KRAMPUS”
My choice was BEAUTY.
