In the unlikely event you were channel surfing the portuguese television last evening, and zapped across someone you thought looked suspiciously like me and my friends.. you were right. We tried to sit in a discreet spot but, apparently, we caught the director’s eye and the cameras were on us quite a lot.

By the end of the show, I’m sure I had my act-natural-and-pretend-the-camera-isn’t-there look totally mastered. Except for that bit at the end, when I stopped clapping to reach for my g&t, realised I was being filmed, quickly put the glass back without a sip, and resumed the clapping looking compromised - I so hope the red light wasn’t on by then!
