Have tickets, will fly

My hand was kind of shaky when I pressed the button. Suddenly, there were butterflies in my stomach. I finally dared make New York more than just one of those things I keep saying I’ll do, eventually.

Although nothing’s sure until I land safely in Newark airport, buying the tickets made the whole trip real and definite. Yes, I’m going, yes for two whole weeks, and yes… on my own. And I’m not scared.

Except that I am, of course. Scared as if I’m queuing for a roller coaster. I know I’m going to be thrilled and exhilarated, I know it’s going to be over in no time, but the wait is as exciting as it is nerve wrecking.

Plane tickets bought, accommodation needed now. So many decisions to be made so little time… It’s confort and location versus budget, privacy versus sociability, reliability versus choice. And the clock is ticking.

But at this moment, the most important question is: Where the hell did I hide my passport?

I saw the countdown on the right and turned a little green with envy! :)
For me, New York is still on the list of things to do eventually… One that definitely has to be done, because I think it must really be a great city.
Enjoy your holiday planning!

Golden Oldies

Yes, this is the 4th encarnation of my website. But you can still visit the ones that came before, should you be in the mood for a trip down memory lane. Just don't complain about the broken links, ok?
